Mechanical AssemblerThis role focuses on manufacturing conveyor systems that keep consumer packaged goods moving efficiently, reliably, and safely. You will assemble mechanical components and subassemblies, verify specifications, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure high-quality, dependable conveyor sections are produced in a clean, climate-controlled environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare work by carefully studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists to understand the required tasks.Gather and organize parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials needed to complete each assembly job.Position parts and subassemblies accurately by following detailed assembly instructions, drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Assemble components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies using appropriate tools and hardware.Verify that completed conveyor sections meet specifications by measuring dimensions and checking for accuracy and quality.Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment to keep tools and machinery in proper working condition.Follow established rules, procedures, and safety guidelines while working on production tasks.Use hand tools, battery-powered tools, and pneumatic tools correctly and safely to complete assembly work.Retain and apply standard assembly and disassembly procedures to perform tasks consistently and efficiently.Collaborate with team members and other departments as needed to meet production goals and maintain workflow.Work 1st shift and support occasional additional hours during the week as needed to meet production demands.Essential SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and perform mechanical assembly tasks.Ability to read and interpret a tape measure accurately for precise measurements.Experience using hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, and other common mechanical tools.Experience using battery-operated and pneumatic-operated tools in a production or assembly environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to guide assembly work.Ability to retain and follow standard assembly and disassembly procedures consistently.Capability to work 1st shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) Monday through Friday.Willingness to work occasional additional hours during the typical workweek as needed.Prior experience performing mechanical assembly or working with mechanical systems (preferred).Prior experience interpreting blueprints in a manufacturing or assembly setting (preferred).Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in production, general labor, or assembly roles.Comfort working with power tools in a controlled shop environment.Attention to detail when verifying dimensions and specifications.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Interest in cross-training and learning different departments to expand skills.Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.Why Work Here?You will work in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled facility that prioritizes comfort and safety. The facility employs approximately 80 to 90 full-time employees, creating a collaborative and team-oriented environment. Work involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, battery-operated tools, and pneumatic tools within a structured production setting.
