Role Description

Service Technician/Mechanic, Repair Technician

Seeking motivated and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Diesel Equipment Technician.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• New Equipment assembly and setup
• New Equipment implement installation
• Assemble and prepare new equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Prepare and complete work orders
• Additional qualifications that are a plus but not required:
• CDL class A or B driver license
• Diesel engine repair
• 2 stroke and 4 stroke engine repair
• P/M service on gas and diesel engines
• experience with diagnose, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems
• experience with computers and electronic engine diagnosis
• experience with light construction and farm equipment
• Diagnose and repair two stroke and four stroke engines

Job type:*

• Full Time with health benefits, 401K, and P.T.O.

Pay scale:

• Starting pay range $25-$35 per hour - will negotiate based on skill set and experience
• Required: Diesel tech training
• High school diploma/GED
• 1+ year of schooling for engine repair
• Knowledge of lawn and garden, farming, or construction equipment
• 5+ years’ experience in equipment repair
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening

Qualifications

• Strong maintenance skills, including general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of mechanical systems.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Ability to work safely and effectively with Heavy Equipment in a shop or field environment.
• Proficient Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Relevant technical training or certification in mechanics, automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment repair preferred.
• Previous experience as a mechanic, technician, or similar role in an equipment or industrial setting is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
