They are a motivated individual that excels in leadership and managing the meat market operations that includes providing quality products of meat, appealing displays, and product levels, all while maintaining sanitation policies and requirements and operational guidelines.Responsibilities:Follow and maintain operational guidelines such as the wage percentage, gross profit margins, shrink percentages, sales goals, and supply cost for department profitabilityEnsure compliance with State and health regulations to keep satisfactory sanitation gradesCutting, wrapping, weigh and label, and stocking meatSupervise, train, and schedule meat department associatesStanding for long periods of timeMaintain a favorable image with customers and company associates through a clean, attractive, and friendly departmentApplying security device tags on select packages of meat product to control lossesQualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age, friendly, outgoing, neat and clean in appearanceAble to lift 80 lbs, with no assistanceBe able to read and write to properly tag merchandise, order and maintain inventory, and to insure proper rotations of productCourteous, cooperative, and professional, even when under pressure, with customers and coworkersPrior retail Meat Market Management experienceOpen availability that includes working days, evenings, most weekends, and holidays
