Position Overview
Salary range: $157,175.67-$277,303.33. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Science Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
Position Description
The University of California, Irvine Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time board certified or board eligible physician to join our clinical and academic faculty. The full-time academic appointment may be at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, depending on experience.
The Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine provides outpatient care and inpatient consultation services in cancer, prenatal pediatric, metabolic and adult genetics clinics at UCI Health and our affiliated hospitals. Faculty also participate in didactic and clinical training of genetic counseling graduate students, genetics residents, medical students and other trainees, provide community outreach, and are involved in both clinical and basic science research.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D and/or equivalent in the related field of study
- California physician and surgeon license or eligibility to become licensed.
- ABMGG board‑certification or active candidacy in Clinical Genetics and Genomics or another relevant specialty.
- Candidate must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series.
