MCC Panel TechnicianThis role focuses on building and wiring custom motor control center (MCC) panels for large MCC units and E-Houses. You will terminate and run wiring throughout each unit, perform mechanical installation of components such as bus bars, and use blueprints and wiring diagrams to configure high-voltage equipment (not energized). The work is varied and hands-on, requiring you to move between different stages of the panel-building process rather than performing repetitive, table-based assembly.ResponsibilitiesBuild and assemble MCC panels and related control panels for large MCC units and E-Houses.Terminate wires and route wiring throughout the units according to project specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to correctly set up products.Perform mechanical installation tasks, including installing bus bars, cutting holes, and mounting components.Wire products from scratch, ensuring proper connections, organization, and adherence to design requirements.Work with high-voltage equipment in a non-energized environment, following safety guidelines and best practices.Move between different areas and stages of the panel-building process, contributing to both electrical and mechanical tasks.Maintain accuracy and quality on custom builds, adapting to projects that are not repetitive or identical.Collaborate with team members to ensure panels and units are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with shop safety and cleanliness standards.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of experience as an MCC technician or E-House electrician.Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Demonstrated experience building electrical panels and wiring products from scratch.Strong electrical wiring skills, including control panel wiring and terminations.Ability to work safely with high-voltage equipment in a non-live environment.Capability to perform mechanical installation tasks such as bus bar installation, cutting holes, and terminating components.Comfort working in a dynamic, hands-on role that involves moving between different stages of the panel-building process.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with custom, non-repetitive electrical panel builds.Experience in control panel assembly and wiring.Familiarity with E-House construction and MCC systems.Ability to balance both electrical and mechanical responsibilities in a shop environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Why Work Here?You will join a clean, well-organized, and air-conditioned shop environment where safety, quality, and craftsmanship are highly valued.

The role offers an open-ended contract of at least six months with the potential to become a long-term opportunity, providing stability while you work on diverse, custom projects that keep your day engaging and technically challenging.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a nice, clean, air-conditioned shop designed for comfort and productivity. You will work around high-voltage equipment that is not energized, using standard electrical and mechanical tools to build and wire panels. The schedule is primarily first shift, running from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the possibility of extending to 6:30 p.m. on 12-hour days and working 8-hour shifts on Saturdays as needed. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety practices while supporting a hands-on, shop-floor style of work.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
