Vehicle Systems EngineerThe Vehicle Systems Engineer position focuses on the development and integration of advanced vehicle system architectures on new platform designs. This effort focuses on decomposing requirements and behaviors and modeling them in a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) process, supported by an industry-standard toolset (specifically CAMEO). It requires an ability to understand and represent complex system, subsystem, and component interactions and activities to support component hardware and software designs in various ground vehicle platforms.
Hybrid or onsite: Due to the nature of the work, this role requires on-site presence up to 100% although some remote work may be available each week.Specific tasks include but are not limited to:Developing systems & subsystem level requirements, including decomposition and traceabilityAbility to accurately capture and review connectivity diagrams at a system/subsystem level in various tools (MBSE and/or electrical design capture)Ability to describe platform behaviors using various SysML diagramsUnderstanding and development of vehicle & subsystem-level integration and test plansIntegration of various components into existing and established vehicle architecturesIn-lab and/or on-vehicle testing and integration of solutions and verification of system performancePosition Requirements:Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, Software, or related engineering field. Other technical degrees will be considered with related experience.1-3 years of engineering experienceBroad based knowledge of systems engineering along with other technical engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.).Specific experience with one of the following more-specialized areas of architecture is highly desired: Mobility systems (engine and transmission, drive-by-wire, vehicle electronics interfacing, CAN communications, etc.)Vehicle electronics systems (including schematic development, data networking, etc.)Video systems (i.e., camera, processing, display, etc.)
