Job Description:
LEAP Academy University Charter School is seeking an experienced, highly qualified, and visionary Mathematics Supervisor to provide instructional leadership and support the continuous improvement of mathematics teaching and learning across the school. As a member of the administrative team, the Mathematics Supervisor will assist the Principal in supervising and coordinating the school's educational program while leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of a rigorous, standards-aligned mathematics curriculum. The ideal candidate will coach and support teachers through professional development, instructional feedback, and data-driven decision-making to improve student achievement. This leader will collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff to strengthen instructional practices, monitor curriculum implementation, and foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement that supports the success of all students.

Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Supervisor or Principal Certificate required.
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Educational Administration, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience , with demonstrated expertise in mathematics instruction preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and educational program supervision.
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards, curriculum design, assessment practices, and data-driven instructional improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, instructional excellence, and equitable student achievement.
- Provides school level leadership in monitoring, designing, and implementing curriculum.
- Assists in the formulation of a philosophy and objectives for the design, implementation, and assessment of the curriculum.
- Supports development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional services.
- Has a working knowledge of the N.J. Core Curriculum Content Standards, standards from the U.S. Department of Education and other national professional organizations.
- Meets regularly with Lead Person and principals for teaching and learning.
- Assists in instructional supervision and in the evaluation of high school staff.
- Guides development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional services.
- Works with other administrators in analyzing standardized testing data and determining implications for curriculum and instructional practices.
- Maintains a curriculum library for staff use.
- Provides leadership in the continuous development and improvement of the instructional program.
- Provides staff leadership to ensure understanding of and promote the educational objectives of the district, and plans and administers programs of professional development activities for instructional personnel.
- Develops and implements a new teacher program that coordinates with the mentoring program to provide new teachers full access to the goals, beliefs, and the instructional methods which exist at the heart of the LEAP Academy educational system.
- Prepare reports on the effectiveness and efficiency of curricula and instructional programs.
- Assist in the analysis of data used to evaluate student achievement as well as curriculum and program effectiveness.
- Supports the Chief Academic Officer and Principals.
- Establishes and maintains professional dialogues with instructional staff and observes teachers formally in their classrooms upon request of the principals and/or Chief Academic Officer.
- Provides leadership in optimizing staff usage to include transfers, tenure and retention decisions, and recommending positions necessary for proper implementation of curriculum.
- Performs other tasks and assumes other duties as they may arise from time to time assigned by the Chief Academic Officer.
