What you will do as a Math Learning Center Director
Multi-Center Leadership
- Oversee daily operations in both Astoria and LIC
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling across locations
- Develop Assistant Directors to manage shifts independently
- Ensure consistent instructional and service standards
Sales & Growth/Retention
- Monitor and grow overall center performance metrics, including profitability and student success
- Respond promptly to inbound leads
- Conduct parent consultations and enroll students
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools and community organizations in NW Queens
- Execute grassroots marketing initiatives
- Track and improve conversion and retention metrics
Team Development
- Recruit, train, and schedule instructors
- Coach and motivate team members
- Foster a positive, accountable culture
Academic Oversight
- Administer student assessments
- Ensure fidelity to the Mathnasium Method
- Identify student needs and opportunities and develop customized student learning plans
- Support instructional quality and student progress
Family Experience / Community Outreach
- Build trusted relationships with parents
- Market the Mathnasium program by building school and community relationships
- Run Math Fairs / Local events at the schools
- Communicate progress clearly and proactively
- Resolve concerns with professionalism and care
- Multi-location team leadership with assistance from ACDs
- Sales and enrollment growth
- Parent relationship management
- Manage and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations
- Conduct sales by promptly responding to leads and successfully enrolling students
- Screen, hire, train, and schedule employees
- Lead and motivate team members by developing them professionally and personally
What we are looking for in a Math Learning Center Director
- Previous management or leadership experience preferred
- Previous customer relationships & sales experience preferred
- Passion for math and working with students
- Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance various leadership responsibilities
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
Compensation
- Competitive annual base salary: $40,000 - $80,000
- Variable performance-based compensation ( $5,000-$15,000) tied to:
- New student enrollments
- Revenue growth
- Retention benchmarks
- Overall center performance
- Opportunity for increased earnings as both centers scale
