Sanford Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join their established group of three physicians in Sioux Falls. This role offers a rewarding practice experience with over 3200 live births annually, serving inpatient, outpatient, and outreach needs. The position provides an opportunity to be a collaborative partner within a well-established MFM practice.

Practice Info

  • Join a group of three physicians in a well-established MFM practice.
  • The practice serves inpatient, outpatient, and outreach needs.
  • Services provided include detailed ultrasounds, fetal echocardiograms, pre-pregnancy counseling, Nuchal Translucency, CVS, and genetic amniocentesis.
  • The ultrasound department is AIUM accredited.
  • Two genetic counselors and four APPs are onsite.
  • Community practice with medical school affiliation and opportunities for teaching medical students and research if desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, provide consultation, and treat adolescent and adult female patients with multiple gestation pregnancy (3 or more).
  • Manage medical and surgical complications of pregnancy, such as maternal cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, and connective tissue disorders.
  • Manage fetal malformations, conditions, or disease.

Shift & Schedule

  • Physician call rotation.
  • Full-time, Part-time, or Flexible schedule is available.

Requirements

  • BE/BC in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program and Fellowship program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
