Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

Join AdventHealth Medical Group's High Risk Pregnancy team as the tenth BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine physician in Central Florida. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert care in prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, and MFM consultation within an AIUM-certified practice. You will collaborate with a robust team of physicians, APPs, and sonographers, contributing to a state-of-the-art program and making a lasting impact on families in the region.

Practice Info

• Become the tenth BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine physician in a growing, state-of-the-art program.
• Practice includes seven full-time and two part-time BC MFM physicians and 3 perinatal NP's.
• Part of AdventHealth Medical Group, employing 900+ physicians in 60+ specialties.
• AIUM-certified practice with talented sonographers who actively participate in monthly training and a vigorous quality review program.
• Supported by a Hospital Perinatal Nurse Coordinator and the "Coordinated Care for Kids" program.
• Monthly meetings with neonatology and pediatric colleagues foster strong team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care in prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, and MFM consultation.
• Hone teaching skills with medical students and OB/GYN residents.
• Provide on average 4-5 days per month MFM inpatient consultative coverage with assistance from perinatal NP's and OB/GYN residents at AdventHealth Orlando Hospital.
• Provide telemedicine inpatient consultations for seven local AdventHealth hospitals (collectively accounting for over 12,000 deliveries annually), with an average of two phone calls per day.
• Collaborate with other teams in various specialties at the Level IV maternity center.
• Occasional opportunities to staff the OB/GYN residency High Risk Obstetric Clinic exist.

Shift & Schedule

• Practice is 100% consultative with no in-house call or deliveries.
• Provide on average 4-5 days per month MFM inpatient consultative coverage.
• Attractive call and coverage schedule, a manageable rotation with no delivery responsibilities.

Requirements

• BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine physician.
• Experience in fetal echocardiography or CVS is welcomed.
• Expertise in performing cervical cerclages, including ultrasound or exam-indicated cerclages, is a plus.
