Sanford Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join a collaborative MFM team in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a unique opportunity to practice consultative MFM within a growing Women's Health program, supported by strong partnerships, advanced technology, and a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialists. The role involves managing complex maternal and fetal conditions without delivery requirements, contributing to a dedicated team, and participating in regional outreach and program development.
Practice Info
- Consult-only practice with shared telephone call
- Collaborative management of the inpatient Antepartum Service alongside Ob/Gyn partners
- No deliveries required
- Work with 13 Ob/Gyn colleagues in a strong, collegial environment
- New, state-of-the-art Labor & Delivery Unit
- High-risk obstetrics supported by a Level IV NICU
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, provide consultation and treat adolescent and adult female patients with a multiple gestation pregnancy (3 or more) and medical and surgical complications of pregnancy
- Treat maternal cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, and connective tissue disorders
- Treat fetal malformations, conditions, or disease
- Participate in regional outreach and expanded program development

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program and Fellowship program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
