Sanford Health in Bismarck, North Dakota, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to join its growing practice. Practice Info
- Join a rapidly growing practice with 2 MFM physicians and 1 MFM advanced practice provider
- Collaborate with 9 OB/GYN physicians and 4 advanced practice providers
- Work alongside dedicated sonographers and genetic counselors
- Practice in a facility with a 26-bed Level IIIB NICU, handling over 1700 births
- Access local pediatric cardiology and neurosurgery services
- Benefit from visiting pediatric subspecialties including neurology, GI, nephrology, endocrinology, and rheumatology
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide consultation for adolescent and adult female patients
- Treat patients with multiple gestation pregnancy (3 or more)
- Manage medical and surgical complications of pregnancy, such as maternal cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, and connective tissue disorders
- Address fetal malformations, conditions, or disease
Compensation
- Nationally competitive compensation plan
- Annual compensation of $650,000 for the first two years of the employment contract, plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
- $200,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years (subject to a contractual agreement)

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program and Fellowship program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
- Demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the past 24 months, including the management of 25 deliveries or procedures (examples amniocentesis, c-sections) with satisfactory quality data
