Job Details:
- Full-time locum coverage beginning January 1, 2027 through approximately January 24, 2027, with part-time/twice-monthly coverage anticipated thereafter
- Candidates interested in locum-to-perm opportunities will be given first preference
- Inpatient LD volume averages 0-5 patients per day, with an average of 2 patients daily
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with nightly weekday call coverage and 24-hour call coverage on weekends including phone consults
- After January, anticipated recurring coverage approximately twice monthly: in-house Thursday-Friday, call Saturday-Sunday
- Review and round on inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients alongside residents
- Provide inpatient consults and phone consultations, with in-person evaluation available when clinically indicated
- Interpret and manage ultrasound services and related consults; locum is expected to independently interpret ultrasounds
- Up to 8 ultrasounds per day supported by 1 sonographer and 1 machine
- Supervise residents in high-risk OB clinic as needed (half-day per week, typically 4-7 patients)
- Potential outpatient-only coverage at an affiliated facility on Tuesday/Thursday half-days as needed
- Required procedures include: Amniocentesis, Cerclage (including rescue cerclage), and External Cephalic Version (ECV)
- No delivery coverage, GYN surgery, or GYN call coverage expected
- Call back is minimal, approximately once per call shift if at all
- Active Michigan license or IMLC required
- Board Certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90-120 days
- Any malpractice or background items must be flagged at the time of submission for internal review
