About the Group

You will join the tenth MFM physician in our state-of-the-art program, which currently includes seven full-time and two part-time board-certified MFM physicians , supported by three perinatal nurse practitioners .

Our AIUM-accredited practice provides expert care in prenatal diagnosis, obstetric ultrasound, and maternal-fetal medicine consultation. You will work alongside a highly skilled sonography team that participates in monthly education and a robust quality review program .

This role offers meaningful academic involvement, including teaching opportunities with medical students and OB/GYN residents , within a collaborative and supportive environment made up of physicians, APPs, nurses, and administrative professionals.

You will benefit from strong care coordination through:

• A dedicated Hospital Perinatal Nurse Coordinator
• The Coordinated Care for Kids program, connecting patients to MFM, OB, neonatology, genetics, and pediatric subspecialists

We maintain close collaboration with neonatology and pediatric colleagues through monthly interdisciplinary meetings , and there are occasional opportunities to participate in the OB/GYN residency High-Risk Obstetrics Clinic . Experience in fetal echocardiography or CVS is welcomed.

Hospital Coverage & Call Responsibilities

This is a 100% consultative practice with no deliveries.

• Inpatient consultative coverage averages 5–7 days per month , supported by perinatal NPs and OB/GYN residents
• Coverage is based at AdventHealth Orlando , Florida’s largest hospital and ranked among the Top 20 hospitals nationally by U.S. News & World Report (2025)
• During consultative coverage, physicians also provide telemedicine inpatient consultations for seven affiliated AdventHealth hospitals , representing more than 12,000 deliveries annually , with an average of two phone calls per day

At AdventHealth Orlando, you will practice within a Level IV NICU , recognized as Florida’s top-performing NICU for neonatal outcomes and capable of supporting infants born as early as 22 weeks’ gestation .

The OB hospitalist service provides 24/7 in-house coverage , ensuring robust support at all times. The hospitalist team leads our nationally recognized Placenta Accreta Program , known for exceptional outcomes.

Clinical Environment & Subspecialty Support

Practicing at a Level IV maternity center , you will collaborate closely with a wide range of specialties, including:

• Full pediatric subspecialty services
• Adult subspecialties such as pulmonary hypertension, genetics, oncology, critical care, and transplant medicine

When clinically indicated, pregnancy termination services are available within the system, complemented by a deeply compassionate perinatal palliative care program and comprehensive outpatient bereavement support services .

Experience with cervical cerclage placement , including ultrasound- or exam-indicated cerclages, is considered a plus.
