Laboratory Assistants - Materials Testing TechnicianPrimary Location: Lowell, ArkansasPosition Type: W2 Contract 6/15/26 - 12/31/26Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMTalentFish is casting a line for two Laboratory Assistants to support laboratory operations through report writing, sample processing, testing support, documentation, and analysis activities. One role will support Home testing and one role will support Specialties testing. Candidates should possess strong computer and reporting skills along with the ability to work in a laboratory environment alongside senior staff and engineers.Basic computer proficiency including Excel, Word, and report preparationAbility to process samples, record data, and prepare reports/charts/graphsUnderstanding of laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems preferredBachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field preferredStrong communication and analytical skillsAbility to interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions preferredWork with senior laboratory staff to process lab samples, perform testing, and analyze resultsBuild and/or adapt basic setup and test equipment for testing activitiesPerform tests using general laboratory equipmentMaintain routine care of designated laboratory equipment and work areasInput and extract information using computer systems and software applicationsFollow defined test plans and datasheets as directedEvaluate test performance and sample operation to support accurate resultsRecord, interpret, and explain test resultsPrepare charts, graphs, and reports documenting laboratory findingsExamine test samples, review measuring instruments, and validate data with supervisorsInterpret blueprints, schematics, and operational instructionsSupport customer sample evaluations and assist during setup and testing operationsCommunicate with customers to ensure proper evaluation and testing proceduresOperate laboratory tools and equipment safely and effectivelyRecord observed and calculated data on appropriate documentationDevelop working knowledge of laboratory methods, instrumentation, and systemsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operationsFollow all physical and digital security practices and company code of conduct requirementsPerform additional duties as assignedThe expected salary range for this position is $15 - $18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.
