Materials TechnicianThis position is required to bring correct and sufficient amounts of materials to machines, maintain correct inventories, determine which orders to run at a certain time, control scrap, monitor and identify raw material usage variances.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Supply color and resin to assigned machinesMaintain grindersGrind or dispose of scrapOperate machine during operator breaksPerform color changes on assigned machinesCreate production labelsScan out of colorMaintain the resin silo boardCheck color chips for color matchMaterial management - control of scrap and regrind usageReport scrap in detailFollow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policiesSupervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Requirements:High School diploma or GED requiredExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to anticipate machine needs and develop a routineEffective communicationBasic computer skillsBasic mechanical understandingComprehension of central resin systemPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
