Materials Planner IIIThe Materials Planner III has the primary responsibility of developing viable Supply Plans to bring in optimal raw materials to support production and the delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner. This is a pivotal role analyzing demand history and trends together with budgeted forecasts, translated into supply plan for raw material planning and production planning to fulfil customer orders. While staying on top of the product demand streams of the business, uphold a keen sense of process awareness at all levels of operational process. Continuous process improvement to ensure robust and resilient planning to meet market changes.
The role also supports processes relating to new product introductions as well as routine maintenance related Engineering Documentation updates.This position will serve our Rheem North America Division, located in Oxnard, California.ResponsibilitiesSIOP: Review and analyze product related data and maintain a general understanding of the status of products, comparing actual versus planned values from an 'Operations' perspective.Manage and maintain the on-going effective implementation of the materials planning systems (MRP, Oracle ASCP).Maintain regular meeting spaces with SIOP leaders to review planned vs actual performance.Produce and communicate demand, supply, inventory and production related plans.Production Planning: Monitor and analyze actual production, plan variance, and possible actions needed.Communicate to support alignment of high-level goals with actionable plans.Manage inventory levels and find ways to optimize processes to meet the company's goals.Gather and process required data to produce, upload and maintain the Commercial Component Forecast.Populate and publish the monthly Production Report.Support the effective use and maintenance of strategically calculated safety stock levels.Rheem Commercial Water (RCW): Provide support and assistance as needed to the Rheem Commercial Water (RCW) team. This may include consultation on detailed inquiries, or problem solving.Manage and maintain the central point location of RCW Lead Time documents to the 'MyRheem' website.Product Management/Production: Work with NPI teams to maintain operational alignment and adequate support of new product introduction activities.Review and approve ECN Releases for the Planning Team.Process new item set-up in Oracle to support ECN releases to Production.Sales Order Process: Manage and support the processes used to publish the Lead Time documents – Raypak & RCWSupport and analyze issues identified by the Purchasing Team (and others) and address root causes.Champion the on-going effective implementation of the ATP system for Operations.Maintain and update the existing ATP system to support newly released products, and/or changes related to Engineering or Production requirements.Investigate issues with the ATP system to establish root cause and implement resolution.Support and assist the production scheduling team with process related issues and problem solving.Responsibilities/Improvement: Support the Rheem Production System (RPS) requirements: MDI Board meetings, SQDCE reporting, documentation of Standardized Work and other related exercises.Manage and maintain the 'Standardized Work' documented procedures for the Planning Team.All other duties assigned.QualificationsPossess strong Business Acumen. Analyze demand/forecast and translate to supply planDemonstrated strategical and analytical ability in supply planning and production planningAnalyze product cost and the costs associated with inventory.Analytical skill in gathering data, interpreting data and developing strategies to meet goals.Root Cause Analysis coupled with Solution Focus; collaborative approach with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.Understand engineering drawings; mechanical, electrical and electronic.Understand engineering Bills of Materials, both single level and indented.Ability to intelligently assess process strengths and weaknesses and implement changeDetailed knowledge of formal Quality Management System (QMS) function and applicationProven skills in developing automated processes using database query tools, Power BI etcAdvanced operational skill in the function and application of MRP, CRP and ERP systems. Hands-on experience with process auditing within a QMSExcellent communication and interpersonal relationship skillsExperience with Oracle EBS Proficiency in Excel and Advanced mathematical skillsStrategic approach: Ability to recognize specific Excel features/tools that will quickly lead to desired outcomes.Ability to manage and analyze (large) datasets with confidence and efficiency.
