Materials Planner II (On-Site)Location: Germantown, MD, US, 20876Job Summary: We are a fast growing business and are looking to expand out team! The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in an fast changing environment.Job Responsibilities:Analyze MRP/ERP reports daily to identify net material requirements, review action messages and release purchase requisitionsRelease of purchase requisitions to fulfill demand forecasts and master production schedule.Provide daily shortage visibility and impact analysis to Production Planner, Operations LeadersCreate and maintain all "intercompany" purchase orders, maintain daily communication with intercompany counterpartsSupport, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the companySupport Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs where applicableReview/Analyze cycle count reports from warehouse team to highlight any critical components variances that will impact productionCollaborate with procurement to expedite or defer orders proactively based on changes to production schedulesMonitor actual material costs incurred to date against total estimated project budgetTrack committed costs to project (Open Purchase Orders and Supplier Agreements)Align delivery of high value components with the project "Cost to Cost/Percent Complete" targetsServe as backup/cross-coverage for peer planners and buyers as neededMaintain audit-ready records and support internal/external and customer auditsQualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience, or a combination of education and on the job experience. Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.

Strong background in project material management. Extensive experience in production planning. Skilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as Sharepoint.

Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems. U.S. Citizenship required.
