Join a growing manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Materials Manager to lead inventory, production planning, warehousing, logistics, and material flow operations. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys driving efficiency, improving processes, and supporting on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead materials planning, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations.
- Ensure material availability to support production and customer demand.
- Drive inventory accuracy and optimize material flow throughout the facility.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
- Identify process improvements and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience leading materials, supply chain, inventory, planning, or logistics functions in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and production environments.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in metal manufacturing, machining, casting, foundry, or other high-volume production environments.
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar certifications.
