Materials ManagerQuanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of material management supporting construction, installation, and engineering activities across EPC and infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are properly planned, controlled, received, stored, tracked, and distributed to support project schedules and operational requirements.The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in warehouse operations, laydown of yard management, logistics coordination, procurement support, and inventory control within construction, industrial, or EPC environments. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with procurement, engineering, project management, vendors, and field operations teams.What You'll DoDevelop, implement, and manage material management practices, procedures, and resources in coordination with clients and project teamsMaintain material control systems to ensure accurate tracking, receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and distribution of materials and equipmentIdentify material control issues and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilitiesExpedite material deliveries as needed to support project schedules and construction activitiesCoordinate directly with vendors and suppliers to obtain expedited materials and resolve delivery or availability issuesWork closely with procurement teams to ensure project materials align with construction schedules, delivery timelines, and project milestonesPerform material take-offs and collaborate with engineering, project management, construction, and customers to determine project material requirementsManage lead times and material availability by identifying required construction need dates, procurement timelines, and material decision milestones for integration into project schedulesOversee vendor shipments and logistics activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of construction materials to project sitesContinuously monitor and manage changes to material requirements to ensure requisitions, revisions, and procurement updates are addressed efficientlyPrepare Materials Management Execution Plans as required for project operationsCollaborate with site teams to ensure materials are delivered in the correct quantities and within required schedulesSupport site material management personnel in establishing efficient warehouse and laydown yard layouts utilizing industry best practices for safety, storage optimization, and streamlined operationsEnsure inventory is handled and stored safely in accordance with engineering specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and company proceduresCoordinate and oversee receiving activities, inventory inspections, QA/QC checks, and discrepancy resolution including shortages, overages, and damaged goodsResolve material-related questions and issues by coordinating directly with project managers, engineering teams, suppliers, fabricators, construction management, and project controls teamsPlan, manage, and execute phase bundling, material staging, and kitting strategies to improve construction efficiency and material readinessCoordinate and perform on-site material audits to maintain inventory accuracy and accountabilityManage project material data and inventory transactions within inventory management systems to ensure accurate real-time reportingCoordinate material offloading, storage, and issuance activities in collaboration with site material management personnelPerform project closeout activities related to materials, purchase orders, inventory reconciliation, and disposition of excess materialsServe as the primary liaison between project management, customers, suppliers, procurement teams, and construction management regarding material-related mattersPerform additional duties as assigned while adhering to company standards, policies, and proceduresEmployee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, and customer locationsWhat You'll Bring Required Experience & Education Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, laydown yard management, or inventory control within construction, industrial, or infrastructure environmentsThorough knowledge of material management best practices related to receiving, inspection, storage, inventory control, material issuance, and logistics coordinationStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook Preferred Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline preferred;
