Material HandlerThe Material Handler is responsible for supporting the coordination of site Inventory Control department activities to ensure accurate preparation and handling of documentation and materials.Required Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIntermediate written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work as a teamBasic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelBasic knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, DEA, USP, and EPBasic knowledge of handling hazardous materialAbility to operate a forklift and pallet jackDuties and ResponsibilitiesProvides support for shipping and receiving activitiesAssists with receiving, checking, and verification of in-bound materials including small package, freight, temperature controlled, GMP and HAZMAT.Assists with preparation and shipment of out-bound materials including small package, freight, temperature controlled, GMP and HAZMAT.Provides support for handling and storage activitiesPerforms handling of materials within warehouse and facility areas using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacksPerforms transfers to move materials to qualified storage areasTransfers raw materials and components to manufacturingIssues out operating supplies to various internal customersProvides support for cycle count activitiesPerforms physical inventory countsInvestigate discrepancies and performs recountsPerforms general administrative and organizational activitiesCompletes and files required documentation as applicableConducts periodic safety inspections of warehouse areas and equipmentCompletes regulatory training requirements on a timely basisPerforms other tasks as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.1 year relevant work experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may substitute.Working ConditionsThe incumbent will be required to push, pull, reach, balance, and/or lift greater than 50 lbs. for 2 hours, approximately 5 times per weekThe incumbent will be required to stand for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours per day.The incumbent may be working around hazardous materials to include chemical agents at least 0-2 years of experience in a cGMP warehouse environment and understanding of Supply Chain Management and APICS best practices for warehouse operations. 2 hours per day.The incumbent will be working heavy machinery, such as forklifts, 8 hours per day.There is a health evaluation performed by a Client nurse.
