Materials Handler/CDL Driver
Our Lewiston Idaho CCI/Speer plant is looking to add a Materials Handler/CDL driver to our Shipping and Receiving team! This position will support manufacturing and ensures customer satisfaction by delivering customer orders in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Become a cohesive team member with operations and all other departments.
Candidate must have current "B" endorsed CDL at a minimum to be considered.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential:
- Disconnects forklifts from chargers or fills propane forklifts as needed, performs safety checks on forklifts.
- Conducts safety check of truck, and fuels truck if necessary. Checks with shipping personnel for items needing transported to Southport. Loads truck and drive to other Lewiston facilities. Off-loads truck in designated areas and loads truck for return trip.
- Deliver blue and black boards to Centerfire drying house, place them in the dry-ovens and complete all appropriate paperwork.
- Picks up supplies for Speer, Rimfire Priming or Primer Assembly as needed.
- Transports samples back and forth from Primer Assembly to Quality Assurance.
- Delivers components, supplies, and/or packaging to designated areas.
- Picks up chemical samples from Bullet Plating and delivers to Chemistry department.
- Ensures that truck and trailer are properly maintained. Fills truck with fuel as needed. Records quantities of primed products onto the material transfer list.
- Keeps a trip log of the amount of primed products that are hauled and the names of the products. Turns reports and safety checklists into Technical Coordinator, weekly.
- Assists with unloading powder shipments. Delivers incoming items to departments.
Non-Essential:
- Cleans area by picking up debris, sweeping floors, and wiping off work surfaces as needed.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to understand English.
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math calculations and be able to recognize improbable results.
- Good interpersonal/communications skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Must have a good safety and driving record.
- Must be able to learn to drive a forklift safely within 30 days.
- Ability to work independently without continual supervision.
Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range:
$26.37 - $28.64
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
