Materials Clerk / Materials Specialist

Job TitleEssential Duties and Responsibilities1. Consistently apply SEL Values and Principles of Operation.2. Maintain a deep understanding of the concepts of World Class Manufacturing and consistently apply them to understand, create, and simplify processes in your area. Teach others in WCM concepts and provide resources to remove barriers for them.3. Demonstrates experience with multiple advanced material management operations as required by location to consistently exceed customer expectations for service and delivery. Can identify most risks, begins to anticipate problems, and collaborates with others to avoid them.

Lead team and inter-department improvements and participate in global improvement projects. Own continuous improvement actions.4. Drive team performance metrics by sharing previous experiences, removing barriers, providing guidance on new assignments, and by participating in regular feedback.5. Involves others as appropriate when making decisions in team and inter-departmental environments. Trains others on processes and equipment.6. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area and equipment and lead efforts to improve.7.

Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsProgressive experience as a Senior Materials Clerk, or equivalent experienceIntermediate computer skillsAbility to train othersStrong math, documentation, reading, writing and communication skillsManual dexterity and ability to concentrateAbility to provide support and direction to others in a team environmentAbility to listen, comprehend and follow instructionsAdhere to SEL's tobacco-free policyCompliance with heightened periodic drug testing for operators of SEL vehiclesAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)Preferred QualificationsPrevious Receiving/Warehousing ExperienceExperience in forklift truck operationPhysical RequirementsAbility to frequently lift 40 poundsCompetitive pay.
