Material Handling and Inventory OperationsJoin our team at Collins Aerospace, where you'll play a key role in supporting critical material handling and inventory operations that keep our production environments running smoothly. In this position, you'll work hands-on with a variety of materials, equipment, and computer systems to ensure accurate processing, movement, and documentation of parts throughout the facility. If you're detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment, we invite you to explore this opportunity.What You Will Do:Utilize a variety of material handling/packaging equipmentIdentify correct parts, components, wires and other materials by part markings, color codes, container labels, etc.Utilize desktop instructions, parts lists, forms, & other work instructions to complete tasksPerform bulk counting utilizing various methodsFill orders per requirementsFollow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damageUtilize computer systems and printers (e.g. recording inventory transactions, generate labels, labor charging)Conduct area cycle counts and record resultsUnpack, verify condition of material, count & receive incoming materialsPackage & prepare materials and completed products for shippingDistribute material to internal plant locationsMaintain appropriate levels of packaging suppliesRecognize & take steps to resolve inventory discrepanciesMaintain accurate records of all work performedTrain other employees & perform other duties as assignedQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D.
