We're a trusted and strategic partner to engineers, contractors, distributors, specifiers, retailers, and homeowners alike as the manufacturer of precast concrete, polymer concrete, and plastic infrastructure products.Job SummaryThe Material Technician ensures machines receive the appropriate amount, blend, and type of raw materials and components for the production of OES molded products.Job ResponsibilitiesWeighs or measures raw materials to ensure an accurate material blend in accordance with product specificationsLoads and operates shredder/granulator and Sortex equipment, using plant scrap and purchased materialPerforms preventative maintenance tasks on Sortex and shredder equipment (filter cleaning, glass cleaning, etc.)Operates and monitors material blenders and quickly identifies and communicates problems to a supervisorCleans blenders for material changeoversTransfers raw material and product components between work areas and ensures each machine receives the appropriate amount to complete production targetsExamines finished product for adherence to quality standards and adjusts material blends as instructed by the process technician or production specificationsConducts routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of material blenders and vacuum units to ensure machine functionalitySupplies machines with sufficient materials and communicates critical material and production information to incoming personnelMaintains a clean and safe work environment, including removal of empty boxes and banding and moving finished product as requiredAddresses material flow issues by unclogging or replacing material hoses to ensure all machines receive the appropriate amount of materialReviews and follows Visual Operating Procedures (VOPs) for standard tasksJob RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentPrior experience with a forklift or powered hand jack, preferredPrior experience with raw material handling in a manufacturing environment is desirableForklift or Hand jack Certification (provided by OES)Lockout/Tagout authorization (provided by OES)Proficient with basic hand tools and power tools, including hand sawAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.What CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
