Role Overview
Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager to join the Advanced Technology (AT) team in support of the SLCM program. This role requires the ability to meet program objectives within a matrixed environment and to interface effectively with functional and program leadership. The position serves as a key member of the Supply Chain team, coordinating with Program Manager(s), the Integrated Product Team (IPT), and supplier teams.
Responsibilities
- Executing supply chain and material program strategies and plans to support program requirements from initial development through contract closure.
- Financial, contracting, negotiation, and project management activities, as well as risk and opportunity management, participation in customer forums, and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Implement the material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP). Provide comprehensive Supply Chain support for RLPM activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable.
- Managing supplier performance and associated supplier management processes, including Supply Chain metrics, international considerations, Make/Buy/Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow-through requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty).
- Develop, lead, and implement common schedule creation, supply chain proposal activities, and risk/opportunity plans to meet program goals.
- Participating as a member of the program office, supporting IPT meetings, Change Control Board (CCB), Risk and Opportunity Review Board (RORB), and Engineering Review Board (ERB).
- Support the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material by monitoring and addressing material-related performance and financial metrics, including developing and tracking budgets, working capital targets, sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating plans, short-range outlooks, and Annual Operating Plans (AOP) related to cost, schedule, and quality.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Experience in Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing.
- Experience performing financial or material oversight tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, or tracking cost and schedule performance.
- Experience developing schedules, supporting proposal activities, or contributing to risk and opportunity planning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry.
- Experience supporting cost account management or similar material-related financial control activities.
- Experience contributing to process improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret or higher clearance level or program access after start date.
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
Location & Work Arrangement
This role is a U.S.-based role. The position is on site at one of our Tucson, AZ locations. This role is a U.S.-based role and if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
