Material Program Manager (MPM)Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support the SM-3 IIA program within the Naval Power business unit. This role will require the individual to work onsite at our Tucson, Arizona location.The MPM is accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance. This MPM role will report directly to the Program MPM Leads, with accountability to the Program Management Office. You must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with varying levels of internal management.You will be responsible for executing supply chain strategies and plans.The MPM serves as the leader for all program's supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. This position requires an individual who will be able to exert impact and influence to the overall goals of the program and the program IPT team.The ideal candidate will have either operations, supply chain, financial, contracting, or negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.What You Will DoManage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.Own Material Forecasts and identification of risks and opportunities.Manage material budgets and support EACs.Drive Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement/management.Support supplier negotiations and drive PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives.Participate in supplier engagements and review to ensure supplier performance.Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.Generate Supplier Requests for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs).Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to the plan.Travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be <25%)Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.Minimum 3 years experience in a supply chain role or related role such as Production Control, Operations, Finance or Supplier EngineeringQualifications We PreferExperience working with suppliers.Experience supporting developmental engineering programs.Project management experience.Experience with contract negotiations.Active U.S. government issued security clearance.This position is NOT eligible for relocation.The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
