Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to: Planning & Fulfillment ManagerThe work model for the role is: Onsite, Richmond, VAYour role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory, including Sales in Excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice.

Each day, you will support internal customer service inquiries. You will also showcase your expertise by setting inventory parameters and targets and ensuring adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders, ensuring material availability as per manufacturing plan.You will be mainly accountable to:Defining inventory policies based on specified segmentation.Calculating and maintaining the inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in the planning systems and the ERPs.Analyze potential shortage; assign valid notifications to Purchasing team; troubleshoot inconsequential warnings and adjust SAP parametrization when applicable.Collaborating with buyers to achieve the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility.Qualifications for the roleBachelor degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field PLUS minimum 5 years of experience in material planning/purchasing/supply chainMust have experience in SAP MM/PPProficiency in Microsoft Power Query, Power BI and data analysis, preferredExperience in Inventory Management & ControlMicrosoft OfficeCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.More about usABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
