Other incentives may be available based on position level and/or job specifics.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsMust have experience in material planning, estimating and purchasing of various types of materials to support US Navy maintenance.Must be able to read, decipher, and evaluate US Navy drawing and standards.Must be able to identify proper materials by type, and class including Mil-Spec requirements along with locating approved vendors to procure materials.Able to produce, build and assess excel spread sheets, utilize Cognos, Cost Point, Microsoft Word and be familiar with excel based electronic database systems.Must be able to work with little instruction on daily routine work general instruction for new introduced assignments.Must have ability to regularly perform mathematical reasoning. Communications include regular requirements to use written and oral communication skills; interact with coworkers and supervisors.Must be able to understand and discern assess charts, grafts and reports and /or other forms of written or graphical communication.Must be able to accomplish movement of light to moderately heavy objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects from one position to another.Must have a substantial understanding of the job and apply knowledge and skill to complete a wide range of tasks. Works with little instruction on daily workPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills3 plus years of experience in material planning, purchasing and/or logistics for materials in support of mechanical, fabrication, construction or repair operations.Familiar with US Navy or Coast Guard vessels.Experience in production operations and purchasing materials for operational support. Marine Electrical experience is desired.
