Here, you will make an impact by:Leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive change in service, cost, and inventoryDeveloping and maintaining operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demandProviding a high degree of planning analysis to support decision makingPublishing and presenting service and inventory metrics and resultsIdentifying and leading projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment. Review and reports on project progress with managementWorking closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Working closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining sufficient inventory levels and lead times.

Managing the Sales and Operation Planning processActively managing working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targetsUtilizing Supply Chain tools and processes such as PMCS, Peoplesoft, and Factory PlannerUtilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventoryYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and two (2) years of combine experience in procurement or planning in a private, public, government or military environment.ORHigh School diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and eight (8) years of combine experience in procurement or planning in a private, public, government or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Critical thinkingSense of urgencyMulti-tasking abilitiesCustomer service both internal & externalWork location: On-site Springfield, MO PlantTravel: May include up to 10% domesticRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain "non-U.S. persons" (persons who are not U.S.
