Job TitleFull-Time Role Nights shift: 11:00pm to 7:30am w/rotating weekends, holidays, and other shifts assignedResponsibilitiesMaintains adequate inventory levels throughout the campus by requisitioning, receiving, unpacking, repacking, stocking, and delivering supplies. Monitors, fills, and delivers requested items; accurately records data related to issues and credits; performs tasks as appropriate in a customer focused service environment; maintains all portable patient care equipment and traction, initiates repair procedures for those items; performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsEducation: High School diploma or GED.Graduate of Sterile Processing/Distribution, Materials Management, or Supply Chain Management program within 1 year of hire.A valid NY state driver's licenseCustomer service skills, basic computer knowledge, communication, and telephone skills required.Certification as Sterile Processing/Distribution Technician or Materials Management is required at time of hire. Certification with the certifying agency must be maintained throughout their employment at the Hospital, re-certifying as required and in accordance with the certifying agency guidelines.
If hired without certification, the employee must obtain certification within one (1) year of employment.
