Inserting Inventory Material HandlerPay Rate: $19.00 per hour Shift:2nd Shift3:00 PM – 11:30 PMPosition Summary:The Inserting Inventory Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining an organized and efficient production floor. This position ensures inventory is properly stocked, labeled, and readily available so materials can be quickly added to work order carts. Accuracy in selecting inventory, envelopes, and inserts is essential to the success of daily operations.
This role also includes ordering inventory from the warehouse and performing other duties as needed.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Inventory Organization & HousekeepingOrganize and maintain floor inventory for efficient accessKeep work areas clean, orderly, and free of debrisMaintain accurate labeling of shelf spacesEnsure all boxes are clearly labeled with the correct inventory codesInventory Ordering & TrackingCarefully review work orders and requisitionsOrder correct stock through RIMS, noting urgency and required delivery timeTrack orders through completion and document delivery timesMaterial Handling RequirementsApproximately 90% of tasks involve very light lifting (under 10 lbs)Approximately 10% of tasks require lifting between 25–30 lbsWork Order & Cart PreparationAccurately read and follow work ordersSelect the correct envelopes and insertsPick the required quantity plus an additional 5%Use count scales for larger ordersVerify counts by weighing sample quantities (10 units)Powered Equipment OperationSafely operate powered material-handling equipmentMaintain required equipment certificationsDeliver inventory to the production floorReturn excess or unused inventory to the warehouseTrack and document delivery timing and urgencyAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assigned
