This opportunity is based on a Material Handler career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.Experience Requirements1-3 years of inventory control, kitting, warehouse, or material handling experienceForklift Operator certification required (Trainer certification a plus)Experience in lean manufacturing, Kanban, or Just-in-Time environments preferredStrong computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeValid driver's license requiredJob DutiesMaintain accurate inventory through cycle counting and discrepancy investigationPrepare and stage production kits according to kit sheetsReport damaged materials, inventory shortages, and stock discrepanciesTrack inventory movements and update inventory recordsMaintain organized inventory and kitting areas using 5S principlesPerform basic visual inspections to identify defective partsSupport additional warehouse and production activities as assignedPreferred QualificationsPrevious warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler / Forklift Operator.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.BenefitsCompetitive Weekly PayComprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Life and Disability Insurance for added peace of mind.Optional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the future.Safety-Focused Work Environment with opportunities for advancement and skill development.A Job That's Actually Worth Showing Up For.
