Material HandlerLocation: Terre Haute, IN Company: Bolder Industries Type: Full Time: Day Shift | Overtime as NeededPosition OverviewThe Material Handler is responsible for executing all on-site logistics operations at Bolder Industries' Terre Haute (TH) plant, including inbound feedstock coordination, outbound finished goods shipments, inventory control, and warehouse operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective material flow while supporting production uptime and customer delivery commitments.The Material Handler will execute processes and systems, and participate in continuous improvement activities across TH.This day shift position reports directly to the Operations and Logistics Manager at TH.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety, Compliance & SustainabilityComply with all safety regulations, including OSHA and DOT requirementsEnforce safe loading/unloading and material handling practicesMaintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements related to material transport and storageSupport sustainability objectives through efficient logistics and waste reductionLogistics & Transportation ManagementCoordinate inbound deliveries of feedstock materials (e.g., end-of-life tires) to support uninterrupted plant operationsManage outbound logistics for recovered carbon black (rCB), oil, and steel shipmentsSchedule and optimize freight, working closely with carriers and third-party logistics providersMonitor transportation costs, service levels, and on-time performanceWarehouse & Inventory ControlOversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, staging, and shippingMaintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goodsExecute inventory control processes (cycle counts, audits, reconciliation)Ensure proper material handling and storage practicesSystems & Process DevelopmentAssist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all logistics activitiesSupport KPIs and reporting dashboards (inventory accuracy, freight cost per ton, on-time delivery, etc.)Serve as a team member in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.QualificationsRequired1-3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operationsExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy operations environmentsKnowledge of transportation, freight, and inventory managementWorking knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulationsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferredExperience in startup or high-growth plant environmentsBackground in recycling, sustainability, or circular economy industriesLean / Six Sigma experienceExperience managing bulk materials or commodities logisticsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Safety performance (TRIR, near misses, incidents)On-time inbound and outbound delivery performanceFreight cost per tonInventory accuracy (%)Warehouse throughput and cycle timeProduction downtime attributable to material shortages
