This is an associate to hire opportunity.Material Handler Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Ensure continuous production operation of packaging lines and follow company's safety, quality and production proceduresEnsure all proper paperwork and materials are used, including pallets, slip sheets, WIP paperwork, and finished skid labeling paperwork is documented accordinglyCoordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure that all incoming and outgoing products meet quality standardsOperate the forklift safely and efficiently and in accordance with plant forklift rules and regulationsPerform safety checks on the forklift; log and report any safety discrepancies with the Production SupervisorMaintain a safe and clean environment for all team members, and make the Production Supervisor or lead aware of any equipment or personnel safety issues immediatelyFollow all aspects of the Lock Out Tag Out programComply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Lean Initiatives as set forth by managementEnsure that all finished goods are properly labeled and staged for shippingMaintain an accurate and detailed operator's logMaterial Handler Requirements:High school diploma or GEDMinimum of 6-12 months of sit-down forklift experience is a mustProduction experience preferredProven problem-solving ability and good time management skillsExperience working both independently and as part of a teamBasic math and computer skills desirableAble to stand or sit for an 8-hour (or more) shiftAble to handle frequent twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bendingGood hand dexterity and eyesight for visual inspection of partMust be able to drive a sit-down forklift and use a pallet jackAble to lift up to 60 poundsIND138QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
