This role ensures efficient and accurate processing of inbound goods and supports cross-training in outbound functions based on volume and operational needs. The Outbound Specialist supports the daily execution and continuous improvement of outbound processes including picking, packing, shipping, and dock operations. This role ensures timely, accurate order fulfillment and serves as a lead trainer for outbound associates, with cross-training in inbound functions as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesInbound:Discrepancy (work with purchasing for any additional research)Receiving (work with the Logistic team to review & add landing cost)Put-away and Replenishments (audit & research)Returns processing (R&D research)Cycle counting and inventory accuracyYard management coordinationMonitor inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes using E1/Syspro/Megatrak and RF devicesMaintain accurate and legible documentation of inbound activitySupport and train new and existing associates on SOPs, safety, and productivity standardsCollaborate with Outbound teams for cross-functional support as volume demandsOutbound:Perform and train others on outbound functions, including:Pallet and Case PickingDock processes including pallet and direct trailer loading auditsManual backorders and outbound calendar managementShipment confirmations and truck auditsMaintain dock organization and shipment accuracySupport yard management and dock flow based on schedulingProvide guidance and training to outbound associates, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and productivity goalsAssist with cycle counts and inventory tasks as neededMinimum QualificationsTypically requires 3+ year(s) of related experience.Skills and Qualifications3+ years of distribution/warehouse experience (multi-area experience preferred); internals must have at least 6 months of service to qualifyStrong understanding of inbound and outbound tasks in a Distribution CenterInventory experienceHigh adaptability and willingness to flex across functionsPower Equipment experience (Reach Truck, Stand Up Dock Stocker, Cherry Picker, Electric Pallet Jack). Must be able to maintain certifications once trained.Technology Proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams; RF devices; ERP systems(E1/Syspro/Megatrak), Warehouse Management System (WMS)Demonstrated verbal and written communication with the ability to provide feedback and partner with diverse groups of individualsAbility to perform root cause analysis and resolve operational issues.
