Material Handler - ShippingStone City Plant - Bryan, TX 77808OverviewSalary Range $20.00 - $21.50 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift DayMaterial Handler - ShippingJob Summary: Responsible for transporting parts, cabinets, and components throughout the factory on a conveyer or pallet.Duties and Responsibilities:Moving parts, pieces, and/or cabinets from one area to another.Keep a safe workplace by housekeeping and keeping an organized work area.Use assistive lifting and transporting devices to prevent injuries to self and others.Essential Functions of the Job:Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.Physically carry and transport items for long distances up to twelve hours a day.Must be able to lift, carry, and transport material in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below, repetitively for up to twelve hours a day.Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below.Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.Must be able to transport items through mud, sleet, and rain.Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company's image of excellence.Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.II.
