X-Ray Department Material Handler/ScriberThe X-Ray Department Material Handler/Scriber works closely with the supervisor to set and maintain schedule based on production needs. They will coordinate part flow by managing carts and baskets in the staging pen area, organizing jobs into Kanban cells, and supplying X-ray tubes based on schedule/production needs. This role performs and maintains precise scribing and serialization of castings, ensures strict log accuracy and documentation control using company systems and per customer specs.

They will sort and categorize X-ray records, assist with retention & storage, and track and disposition records as needed. Train and certify new employees in the scribing position & material handler position.Responsibilities:Work together with supervisor and operations to produce daily/weekly/monthly schedule for x-rayOrganize carts and baskets of parts in the staging pen area and/or to other departments as neededHandle part flow from staging pen to Kanban cells and x-ray booths per schedule & production needsUnderstand customer requirements, internal scrap challenges, rework, and customer returns, demonstrating an understanding of how material handling impacts overall departmental qualityReview and inspect all material being handled, building self-inspection into daily tasks to verify correct part identification and routingLearn and follow all applicable CMCC procedures, traveler processes, film storage guidelines, and scanning protocolsLearn and execute procedures and specifications needed to properly scribe and serialize parts per customer requirements, traveler tickets, log books, and Unipoint instructions using approved techniquesMaintain, sort, and categorize x-ray film, ensuring correct records for retainment and disposition are trackedAssist in assigned outsource functions and help train or guide new employees on proper scribing, logging, and material handling processesWear proper safety equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized work and staging area at all timesPerform other related duties as assignedSkills: Excellent oral and written communication, time management; ability to multitask; organizational skills; Microsoft Suite & computer skills; clear, legible printing skills. Physical ability to move and handle parts and equipment.Education/Training: High school/GEDChicago Magnesium Casting and Midwest Aerospace Casting, LLC.
