Material Handler ILocation: San Diego, CAOnsite Flexibility: OnsiteContract DetailsPosition Type: ContractContract Duration: 12 monthsPay Rate: $20.00–$22.00 / Hour (USD)Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job SummaryThis role focuses on inventory control operations within a warehouse or manufacturing environment, encompassing routine counting, discrepancy investigation, system reconciliation, process improvement, and audit assistance.Key ResponsibilitiesRoutine Counting: Conduct daily and scheduled physical counts of warehouse inventory using methods like ABC analysis to prioritize high-value or high-turnover items.Discrepancy Investigation: Research the root causes of inventory variances by auditing transaction history and tracking missing or damaged goods.System Reconciliation: Update and maintain accurate inventory levels within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP.Process Improvement: Develop continuous improvement recommendations and report on metrics to prevent repetitive errors and optimize physical inventory space.Audit Assistance: Lead or assist with quarterly and annual physical inventory counts as needed for top management.Required SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ERP systems, and warehouse barcode scanners.Exceptional attention to detail and strong mathematical and analytical skills.Strong problem-solving mindset to identify why stock levels do not match.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across departments like Accounting, Supply chain, Production, Receiving, etc.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Degrees in supply chain, business, or logistics are often a plus.May require forklift or pallet jack certification.Required Experience1 year of experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or a warehouse/manufacturing environment.Work Environment / Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for long periods.Frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs.BenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientThis client is a leader in the audio technology industry, designing high-quality speakers and headphones.
