Run what runs the world.This position reports to: Warehouse and Internal Logistics ManagerPosition Description:Recover, arrange, and transport buckets of parts on pallets to their corresponding areas.Move buckets, empty pallets, and scrap to the designated area.Provide material to the Kan Ban area of the lines.Responsible for transferring, dispatching, and locating material in its designated area.Responsible for unloading wagons with material.Perform material transfers and/or create electroplating orders in the SAP system.Perform physical inventory in the lines and Warehouse, when required.Maintain a record of dispatched material and enter all transactions in SAP.In charge of communicating to the material planner about short material in its designated area.Responsible for inventory accuracy and performing cycle count.Maintain good communication between the areas: GEPOL, Manufacturing, and Plating.Responsible for keeping its work area clean and orderly (housekeeping).Report accidents or unsafe working conditions immediately to the leader or supervisor.Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor.Responsible for keeping materials correctly identified at all times.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent required, Vocational/Technical Degree preferred, accredited by PR and/or EU.Minimum 2 years of experience in Material Handling.Forklift license required.Knowledge of SAP inventory system.Communication skills in English and Spanish.Comply with established attendance and punctuality norms.Maintain good work habits.Comply with norms, practices, and regulations established by EHS and Human Resources.Skills:Able to participate in daily activities as part of a team.Quick hand and finger movements to grasp or manipulate and assemble objects.Organize information, actions, or things in patterns following a series of instructions (numbers, words, images, mathematical operations).Work independently under minimal supervision.Proficiencies:Basic knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in Materials.Handle basic computer systems or equipment operations.Comprehension of sentences and paragraphs written in work-related documents.Good interpersonal communication skills.Solve varied problems using skills, knowledge, general precedents, and practice.Physical Requirements and Environmental Exposure:Vision to observe details at short distance, colors, and depth (about 2-3 feet away).Use physical mechanisms or activity to operate machinery or processes.Use hands and arms to handle, install, position parts, move parts, and manipulate objects.Perform physical activities that require considerable use of hands, legs, and full body movements, such as lifting, balancing, bending, and walking.Ability to stand 100% of the time.Ability to handle material and/or equipment of 50 lb. or less.Knowledge of workplace safety standards.Use personal protective equipment as required:Safety shoes.Safety glasses.Gloves for handling dirty objects.Work near moving parts and machinery.Exposure to un-air-conditioned work area.Exposure to noise.Exposure to vibrations.Why ABB?What’s in it for you?
