Material HandlerOxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking a Material Handler for a direct hire, onsite role supporting daily production and inventory operations. This position is ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment who is comfortable moving materials, tracking inventory, and supporting production teams to keep work running smoothly. Pay Rate: 21-25/hrResponsibilitiesPull parts, raw materials, components, and production supplies based on work orders, job requirements, and production schedulesDeliver materials to designated workstations to support production flow and minimize downtimeVerify part numbers, quantities, and material accuracy before issuing items to productionReceive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming materials and partsMaintain inventory accuracy by stocking materials in designated locations and reporting shortages, discrepancies, or damaged itemsAssist with routine cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory record updatesOperate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts, if certified and authorizedMaintain proper documentation for materials handled, work completed, and inventory activityKeep inventory and production areas clean, organized, and safeFollow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production guidelinesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1 to 3 years of experience in material handling, inventory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or production supportExperience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferredAbility to read work orders, part numbers, inventory labels, and basic production documentationExperience with inventory tracking, cycle counts, or ERP/material management systems preferredForklift experience or certification preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to verify quantities and part accuracyAbility to work independently while supporting production schedules and team needsDependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a hands-on shop environmentBasic computer skills for inventory entry, documentation, or material trackingPhysical and Work Environment RequirementsThis role requires regular movement throughout an indoor manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment, shop noise, temperature changes, and active manufacturing operations. Use of required safety equipment may be needed.
