Material Handler Picking + Receiving 1st ShiftThe warehouse operator receives instructions from the supervisor or warehouse support regarding the loading schedule. Based on the orders to be prepared, they organize work according to priority, while following oral and/or written instructions (recorded in SharePoint).Safely operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks and hand jacks to facilitate order picking and inventory managementAssists with inventory and cycle countingFollows scan/SAP instructions indicating replenishment needsFollows management instructions to improve work methods and prevent complaints or damagesChecks prepared ordersStores completed orders in stockEnsures overseas packaging complies with required standardsAdapts to changes in work prioritiesMaintains order and cleanliness and ensures regular cleaning by order pickersRespects environmental guidelines and ensures compliance with safety rules and monitors safety practicesReports all relevant information to supervisors to enable performance reporting to management by completing the end-of-shift report (documenting activities performed during the shift)Assists colleagues when neededRequests creation of new storage locations to avoid order splitsChecks open transfer orders (TOs) daily to ensure orders are completed before loading beginsTransmits location data to the supervisor to ensure correct master data updatesEnsures best practices among order pickers and proposes improvement initiativesConducts 5S audits according to instructions2+ years of recent experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, with a valid license preferred2+ years of order picking or similar warehouse experience requiredKnowledge of warehouse layout and locations (Hall A & B, powder warehouse, picking area)Product knowledgeWarehouse proceduresAbility to use scanning equipmentAbility to estimate order volume to select appropriate packagingKnowledge of packaging requirementsAbility to use a scaleAbility to replenish pick locationsGood physical strength and stamina are necessary, as the role involves lifting heavy objects and staying on feet for extended periodsWhat do we offer you?PTO, days paid sick leave, 11 US paid holidaysMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceCompany paid Short- and Long-Term Disability InsuranceCompany Paid Life InsuranceCompany Paid Accidental Death & Dismemberment401K with employer match, currently 4%Partial Tuition Reimbursement after 12 monthsGross SalaryTobacco Free CampusQuality, Safety, Health, Environment, ComplianceEvery employee at stow contributes to a safe and compliant work environment.
