Equipment OperatorResponsibilities:Train on inventory locations and color codes for steel.Operate indoor and outdoor cranes.Perform general clean-up and housekeeping duties.Pull beams and load flatbed trailers and railcars, including rigging.Receive inventory and move materials using an overhead crane.Fill out shipping reports and bills of lading.Adhere to all safety rules while working around flatbed trucks and railcar systems.Possibly train to be a saw or brake operator, forklift operator, or steel bending machine operator.Essential Skills:Heavy industrial or construction experience required.Ability to read a tape measure.Ability to learn and retain information based on color coding.Capability to lift up to 50lbs.Experience operating equipment safely around heavy machinery.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Overhead crane experience in heavy industry or military preferred.Flexibility to train on day shift for up to two weeks.Ability to jump onto and off trailers safely.Why Work Here?Enjoy a competitive starting wage with potential increases based on your role and performance.
