Material HandlerThis Material Handler position supports a high-volume manufacturing facility by ensuring production lines remain continuously supplied with materials. You will work a 12-hour night shift on a rotating schedule and play a key role in replenishing materials, moving pallets, and supporting injection molding operations that produce plastic medical components.ResponsibilitiesEnsure production machines remain stocked with the correct materials so they can run continuously without interruption.Move full pallets from the production machines to the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.Verify that each machine has the proper materials and cardboard boxes needed for ongoing production.Use a forklift to bring additional materials down from storage racks to the production floor.Operate electric pallet jacks to transport materials and finished goods throughout the facility.Load, lift, pack, stack, and replenish materials as needed to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as hair nets, ear plugs, and safety shoes.Rotate between different production rooms, including air-conditioned areas and warmer rooms, as scheduled.Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the production and warehouse areas.Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to report material needs, issues, or delays.Essential SkillsAbility to operate or learn to operate electric pallet jacks.Willingness to train on and use a stand-up forklift as needed.Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts.Ability to lift 30–50 pounds on a regular basis.Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule (approximately 6:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) on a rotating pattern of 48 hours one week and 36 hours the next.Ability to work weekends as part of the regular shift schedule.Ability to speak English or Spanish.Comfort working in a semi-loud manufacturing environment.Willingness to wear a hair net, ear plugs, safety shoes, and other required protective equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious production or manufacturing experience is a plus.Previous experience working 12-hour shifts is preferred.Experience with pallet jacks or stand-up forklifts is beneficial.Interest in growing into roles such as machine attendant, process technician, or maintenance positions over time.Why Work Here?The company offers a stable, growing, and secure work environment with a strong track record of consistent growth and internal promotions. The department runs 24/7 on a 12-hour shift schedule, specifically a night shift from approximately 6:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with one week at 48 hours and the next at 36 hours, including weekends. Two of the three production rooms are air conditioned, while one room can become warm; employees rotate between rooms so no one remains in the warmer area for extended periods. The environment is semi-loud, and ear plugs are provided. You will work with electric pallet jacks and, over time, a stand-up forklift to move materials and pallets throughout the facility. The site includes a corporate lunchroom and cafeteria offering a wide variety of heavily discounted food options. The dress code requires safety shoes, a hair net, ear plugs, and other appropriate personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and clean production environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of MUNDELEIN, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
