Material HandlerLocation: Los Angeles, CAWork Mode: 100% Onsite – Local Candidates OnlyDuration: 3+ monthsSummary:Chance to Extend: YesConversion Opportunity: Yes, based on performanceNumber of Openings: 2Reason for Opening: LOA (Leave of Absence)Target Start Date: ASAPDress Code: Cargo pants and polo shirtsVariable Shift ScheduleWork Days: 3-4 days per week (minimum 32 hours/week)Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month (every other weekend)Shifts:Weekdays (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri): 4:30 AM – 1:00 PMWeekends (on scheduled weekends): 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (may vary based on business needs)Additional Night Shift: Some shifts may be 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (as required)Responsibilities:Receive and stock suppliesInventory managementOrder pickingDelivering materials throughout the hospitalMaintain accurate inventory recordsRequirements:Strong organizational skills & attention to detailAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 lbsPrevious experience in materials management, customer service, and/or healthcare preferredBackground, Education, and Employment VerificationProvide proof of High School diploma or equivalent (GED)List 3 previous employers; at least 2 must be verifiedMedical and Immunization RequirementsImmunity Documentation (Bloodwork or Vaccination Records)Must be fully vaccinated for MMR and VaricellaHepatitis B Vaccination may be declined, but declination form must be on fileTuberculosis (TB) Test must be completed yearlyDrug Screening — 9 Panel, No THC (effective May 20, 2024)Influenza Vaccine (Current Season) required November 1st – May 30thCOVID-19 Vaccination not required but strongly recommendedPreferred Skills:Previous experience in materials management, customer service, and/or healthcare preferredBenefits:Fair Chance Employment: Qualified Applicants with arrest or Conviction records will be considered for Employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act
