Many of our team members have used this role as a springboard to advance their careers within Star Lumber, growing into leadership and specialized positions.The Material Handler is responsible for:Pulling and staging building material products (lumber, cabinets, windows, doors, decking, siding)Safely loading and unloading materials on a variety of truck types including semi, box trucks and flat bedsAssisting customers with loading materialsAccurately completing shipping and inventory documentsOperating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficientlyAdhering to all safety procedures and personal protection equipment (PPE) requirementsWorking outdoors in various weather conditions while staying adaptable and preparedRequirements:Experience working in a warehouse or distribution centerPermanent authorization to work in the United States18 years or olderReliable transportationPhysical capability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and up to 100 lbs in a team liftCommitment to safety and teamworkAvailability to work during operating hours, M-F 7a-6p.
