Warehouse PositionWe are looking for an experienced individual who has worked in a warehouse environment, preferably in the battery/automotive sector for a project at our warehouse.Duties/Responsibilities:Leads warehouse task responsibilities, safety procedures and best practicesPerform safety and OSHA audits as needed by the businessStock control – Inbound and Outbound GoodsMonitor and maintain accurate inventory utilizing company ERP systemTrack and coordinate the receipt, storage and timely order fulfillment of productResponsible for disposition of the warehouse and ordering supplies necessary to maintain a clean workspaceCommunicate and coordinate with other departments and customers as necessaryCheck orders, items received, inventory and deliveries for accuracy; make adjustments as necessaryWork autonomously with little to no direct supervisionStage outbound orders/freightLoad and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.Sort and stack incoming product (returns, cores, warranties)Sort, pack, wrap, tie and label products as per company proceduresStore the products in proper places in warehouseDeliver products to various units in safe and timely mannerWeigh products and record weight and other data in product labelsOSHA compliance for warehousePunch in and out through the ADP portal daily, or use the Staff attendance sheetsWarehouse cleanliness - clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plasticIdentify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.Maintain material handling equipment by recharging, cleaning, oiling, re-fueling and other necessary actions, and record all information on log sheet.Minor Repairs to Equipment as neededMaintain forklift equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, recommending repairs and performing routine pre and post inspections.Customer service expectations met – Internal & ExternalStudy production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveriesRecord information regarding movements of supplies, materials and finished productsWeekly stock takes for warehouseFollow company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.Staff training on warehouse and battery processesEnsure product quality before staging of product for shipmentScrap collectionComputer skills to include Microsoft Office & Supplier portalsDaily Inbound and Outbound Shipment PaperworkAll other duties as requiredRequired Skills/Abilities:HS/GEDComputer skills – Microsoft OfficeCommunication skillsInventory managementForklift License (Preferred)Dangerous goods knowledgeDesirable:First aid/CPR CertificationBattery industry knowledgeAuto electrical industry knowledgePhysical Requirements and Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, carry, transfer and maneuver batteries and other materials weighing between 50-75 lbs.Frequent bending, and use of legs, hands, and arms to operate warehouse equipment, and secure loads.Ability to push and pull cart full of batteries and horizontally transfer batteries requiring a force up to 75 lbs.Prolonged periods of standing and walking within the warehouse.Travel:No regular travel required.Work Environment:Warehouse setting, with large equipment and machinery constantly in use.Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
