Material HandlerThe Material Handler works in a manufacturing production environment and ensures that materials and finished products move efficiently through the facility. This role focuses on supplying production lines with the correct product, staging orders for shipment, and packaging hoses according to customer specifications. The Material Handler supports smooth production flow and accurate, timely shipping by following printed tickets, using RF scanners, and maintaining organized staging areas.ResponsibilitiesDeliver materials and product to production lines so machine operators can begin and complete orders on schedule.Stage orders for same-day and next-day shipments, ensuring each order is placed in the correct staging area according to the floor map and shipping tags.Pull finished hoses from carts and move them to the correct customer-specific area using a floor map with designated locations.Package hoses according to order requirements using the appropriate packaging, including boxes, stand-up hanging systems, and kitting boxes.Bundle or hang hoses for shipment based on customer requests, ensuring each order meets specific packaging instructions.Work from printed tickets to verify that products, quantities, and labels match customer orders before shipment.Use RF scanners, when required, to scan products, confirm accuracy, and track materials through the shipping process.Stage products in designated customer-specific spots and packaging areas to prepare them for shipment.Pack products for shipment by reading labels, checking for accuracy, and confirming all items match pick tickets, pick orders, and pick sheets.Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks as needed.Support production by moving materials, organizing staging areas, and helping maintain an efficient flow of goods through the facility.Essential SkillsAt least 3 months of experience working in a warehouse environment handling materials for shipping.Hands-on experience staging orders and preparing products for shipment.Experience packing products for shipment, including reading labels, checking for accuracy, and scanning items.Ability to read and follow printed tickets, pick tickets, pick orders, and pick sheets.Familiarity with material handling in a production or manufacturing environment.Basic experience with shipping and receiving processes.Ability to assist with loading and unloading trucks.Experience using RF scanners or similar handheld scanning devices.Ability to work effectively on a production floor and coordinate with machine operators and shipping staff.Additional Skills & QualificationsSit-down forklift experience is a plus; training is available for candidates who are willing to learn.Experience working in a non-climate-controlled production or warehouse environment.Comfort working with hoses, packaging systems, and kitting boxes.Strong attention to detail when checking labels, counts, and customer-specific requirements.Ability to follow floor maps and location guides to place and retrieve materials accurately.Willingness to support multiple functions, including material handling, shipping, receiving, and production support.Why Work Here?You will join a stable company that values its people and fosters a culture with no games and no drama. The position operates on a first shift schedule, typically 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The facility is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The team is approximately 30 people, and the culture is described as positive, with people being valued and treated with respect.
