Material Handler/Industrial Painter
Pay: $19-22/hr.
Shift: Mon-Fri (2:30pm to 11pm) - Must be able to train on 1st shift (6am start)
Description:
The Material Handler/Industrial Painter will be moving metal within the shop on 2nd shift and painting steel products in the structural steel shop when needed.
Requirements:
- Prior material handling experience in a manufacturing environment; metal shop environment is a plus
- Must have overhead crane experience with steel
- Previous Industrial Painting experience on steel is beneficial
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
- Read and interpret maps, sketches and drawings
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the fabrication shop
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift and overhead cranes
- Perform and/or assist with the painting and blasting operations
- Perform and/or assist with operation of saws, shear and bending equipment
- Measure, cut or shape metal
- Clean and prepare workstations by removing debris and possible hazards
- Load or unload raw materials and fabricated steel
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
