Material Handler/Industrial Painter

Pay: $19-22/hr.

Shift: Mon-Fri (2:30pm to 11pm) - Must be able to train on 1st shift (6am start)

Description:

The Material Handler/Industrial Painter will be moving metal within the shop on 2nd shift and painting steel products in the structural steel shop when needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior material handling experience in a manufacturing environment; metal shop environment is a plus
  • Must have overhead crane experience with steel
  • Previous Industrial Painting experience on steel is beneficial
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
  • Read and interpret maps, sketches and drawings
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the fabrication shop

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift and overhead cranes
  • Perform and/or assist with the painting and blasting operations
  • Perform and/or assist with operation of saws, shear and bending equipment
  • Measure, cut or shape metal
  • Clean and prepare workstations by removing debris and possible hazards
  • Load or unload raw materials and fabricated steel
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
