Material Handler1st shift 7 am- 3:45 pm Pay rate 15.60 per hour.Position Overview: OSHA License (Forklift Certification) Preferred/ Not Required The Material Handler will provide shipping and warehousing expertise to support in all areas of the Switchboard Team including, but not limited to, assembly, order picking, and shipping and receiving parts, with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton's quality standards. In this function you will:Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position.Ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton's quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process. Perform quality checks as instructed.Receive and process material kitting orders in a timely manner to execute production schedulesComplete inventory transactions and ensure accuracyComply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner.
Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals.Own and lead 5S process and discipline for assigned warehouse areaReceive and process incoming raw material and ensure inventory process is followed correctlyPrepare finished products for final shipment including: packaging, documentation, loading and ensure on time deliverySafely operate warehouse equipment, including: forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), order picker, automatic pallet wrapper and pallet jackPerform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and healthQualifications:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position.
